Thimble begins his adventure! Several months after Chickpea (a domestic mouse who Thimble loves) disappeared, Thimble finds a newspaper clipping with her picture on it! In order to find out what the clipping says, Thimble must avoid getting eaten by the Todd's terrier, Tuppy! Luckily, Thimble has help from his brother Ladle, a squirrel named Garlic, and a very helpful parakeet.
