EP-262 | Ryan - Special Forces - The Guerrilla Group Mentors for Military Podcast

    • Culture et société

Ryan joined the Army and served in the infantry for 6 years before joining Special Forces. He has deployed multiple times to SE Asia and the Middle East. Losing friends and teammates in combat and then through suicide takes a toll and Ryan knew he needed to do something in his own life. "The art of interpersonal communication and connection is quickly being lost on our generation" said Ryan. "What I soon came to realize was that nobody has their life ‘together'. Everyone is struggling with something. Everyone is looking for answers."

He created The Guerrilla Group in March 2020 to connect like-minded individuals, to open communication of those who attend, and to help them develop a support system. Ryan hopes that by sharing his own story, others may recognize the benefits of a support system and how impactful it can be when a person gets outside of their personal echo chamber.
