    3. The Importance of Your Name

    3. The Importance of Your Name

This is the one where I try to convince you that your name is as important as you are. Often times we focus so much on what we wear, how we speak and how we portray our attitudes outwardly, but we forgot that our names can play a part too in understanding who we really are. What's more is that usually our names are GIVEN by others, unless we choose to change them -- in which case, the very reason we want to change it is also telling about us and our identity.

Homework: Find out the meaning of your name, or if you have any experience with not loving your given names and changing it -- I would love to know! Share with me on Instagram @genggadis or email hello.genggadis@gmail.com or send me a voice message!

[SPECIAL EPISODE] This is the one where I talk about race, racism and racists. This episode sheds light on the murder of George Floyd and the fight for justice for our black brothers and sisters going through everyday racism and police brutality in 2020 America. It talks about why it is important for us to learn from this and educate ourselves about it, even if we were not black and American. The best way to respond is to show support for the movement. Racism still exists not just in the USA, but everywhere across the globe -- and it affects coexistence and progress for the humanrace.
