Knowledge Pursuit: Auxiliary Alex S

This podcast goes into further detail about the concepts that were mentioned in the podcast "Knowledge Pursuit."
The Areas of Knowledge (AOK) and the Ways of Knowing(WOK) are discussed.
This podcast does have to do with the course of TOK, but because it has to do more with how we think about what we know, it's not exactly about what we learn in school. It's more about logic and reason, as well as bias and fallacies in reasoning.
A primer into epistemology to anybody who is interested.

Language
Language is part of our daily life. It is embedded in our society and without it, civilization could not exist as we know it today. It is crucial to the point where without it, none of the people on earth today would be able to get along, much less communicate.
But does language help us in our lives? Does it aid our cognitive capabilities? Or rather, does it limit what we can perceive? But then, how would words come into being if it did? -
Faith-Mundane
Faith not only exists in the world of religion but also in the human world separate from the belief in God; or the mundane world. This episode explores the shapes that faith does take in the human condition, as well as the dark shapes of faith when it spirals out of control.

Faith-Religious
Faith is a slippery subject, just a slippery as intuition. In definition, it seems rather simple and can even be said to belong to the human condition. And in stigma, it seems to be in one place: religion.
Diving into the subject however, it seems that faith is everywhere and present in all AOKs. This episode specifically targets the presence of faith in religion, and its nature there. -
Religion
In this episode, the AOK of religion is explored.
Considered the polar opposite of the Natural Sciences on the spectrum regarding belief, Religion deals with ideas based on faith. It has its shortcomings, but it also has its strengths.
Notable also is how it complements the Natural Sciences, and keeps the ying-yang of the two in check. -
Intuition
Intuition. A tricky subject. It eludes even scientists today as it is difficult to tell what it really is. The moment of "Aha!" to some, to others a heuristic. To some an unreliable aspect of the human condition, to others the base of all knowledge.
In this episode, the reliability, capability, and implications of intuitions are explored and discussed in detail. -
History
History helps to create a nation, and in turn the individual. It is impossible to have a distinct personality without memory, a personal history.
But is history susceptible to bias just as any other AOK? History is written by the winners after all.
