Dr. Cabral begins by sharing his incredible health journey that began when he was 17 years old, and how his discovery of Ayurvedic and Functional Medicine in conjunction with hope and determination, changed his life and turned around multiple conditions and diagnoses.

    So we start by digging more into Ayurvedic medicine - where to begin, how can you learn more, and what can you apply to your own life (like nutrition and lifestyle shifts). Then we talk about testing for health conditions, who is a good candidate for testing and when you should test not guess.

    Then Dr. Cabral brings up an incredible discussion on the downfall of identifying with our illnesses as our identity and particularly how it correlates with digestion and bloating being psychological and stress-based. He goes into the science of this, and it’s incredibly eye-opening. We all need this quote Dr. Cabral shared with us today: “Everyday in every way I’m getting better and better.”

    Then we talk about different styles of eating (like keto and IF) and their benefit in the short term vs. long-term. We also talk about carbs, carb intolerance and fruit fear.
