Candace Washington, also known by her pen name, Candace Writes was born in Selma, Alabama. She is a mother, author, minister, licensed social worker and therapist. Candace is the author of, Breathe: Rest, Reflect, Reset, part Bible study, part memoir outlining God's blueprint for healing.
She's been a featured guest on radio shows, the Word Television Network, and several podcasts discussing faith, mental health, and her testimony of hope and redemption. Her transparency has gifted her with a heart for this generation fostering conversations about mental health, conveying that believers can have both our strong God and a strong therapist. Candace is a licensed therapist atTotally Whole Counseling Services in Baltimore, Maryland, where she supports and guides clients on their healing journey. She is also the founder and CEO of Restorative Minds Therapeutic and Wellness Services, promoting mental health competency through education, training, coaching, and consulting.
