The always amazing Carerra & Tavares were tasked with curating a line-up for an edition of Promise Cherry Beach and they chose me to open. To me, opening is like a summoning of sorts – an opening of a portal, of a container, of a gateway to a place that we all enter then later leave feeling nourished by music, dance, and community.
