The Amabie Comes to Save the Day Yokai Paradise... and other ghost stories from Japan

Here we are with the 2nd episode of the Yokai Paradise podcast! Today we talk about the pandemic yokai, Amabie. It is said that if you look at a picture of the Amabie, that you will be protected from disease. It seems like the Amabie took off internationally through social media through the Amabie challenge hashtag. Companies and artist alike have been participating urging people to stop the spread of the virus. I realized after making this episode that I could have just turned this into a pandemic yokai episode since there are so many different ones of this nature. Maybe I'll do a separate episode one day, discussing the different ones. With all of that being said, enjoy the episode and see everyone in the next one!
