    In times of crisis, do not follow the crowd. Go in the opposite direction.
    Hi, I’m Pascale Gibon. Welcome to episode 259 of the Everyday Life Balance Show. 
    In times of crisis, most people will retreat into fear, worry and concern about the future.
    Their worries are justified. However, it means that they become victims of their circumstances. As you know, a victim tends to suffer a lot. Nevertheless, you are better than that. 
    On the other hand, a hero or light warrior has a growth mindset and transcends any limitation by asking this powerful question. 
    What else is possible?  Does this apply to you? Do you feel that the world has fallen into gloom and doom? However, remember that we live in a world of duality, and, eventually, we all have to choose how we want to live.
    Heroes and light warriors do not settle for the status quo; they look for possibilities.
    It means you have a choice to either sit in the victim camp or the hero or light warrior camp. 
    To increase your happiness and that of the people in your life, I highly recommend that you, like the hero or light warrior, do the same and look for possibilities.
    Do not follow the mainstream of impossibilities, lack and limitations. Go, instead, in the opposite direction.
    You may wonder how it benefits you. Whenever you ask yourself what else is possible, your awareness shifts to an expanded vision for your life, your family, society and the world.
    This life-changing process follows the law of compensation. You replace something of a lower nature with something of a higher nature. According to this process, you substitute darkness, negativity and suffering that fear, worry and contraction bring for a vision filled with hope, positivity and possibilities. In other words, you replace something that does not work and keep you stuck with something that does work.
    What else is possible for your life? Take a pen and paper and reflect on this question with a growth mindset as you expand your vision for your life. That is such a great exercise so take some time to do it. 
    What you believe in persists. Consequently, do not remain in the fear-based mindset of lack and scarcity and start trusting that you live in an abundant world. Abundance comes from the Latin word 'abundare,' which means to overflow.
    Above all, you need to believe in love which is the opposite of fear. Say YES! to love as a rule. Love has no limit except the limit we put upon it. It is the highest value. Only in the energy of love can you become limitless and expand. By contrast, when your mindset is fear-based, you can only contract and retreat. And if you feel that you are like a rubber band that tends to contract and expand, contract and expand, choose love wholeheartedly and trust that love is the answer and always wins.

    According to Earl Nightingale, who is known as the dean of personal development, attitude is everything for a successful life.
    Hi, I’m Pascale Gibon. Welcome to episode 258 of The Everyday Life Balance Show. Thank you for tuning in!
    Think about it. We appreciate someone with a great attitude and avoid being in the presence of someone with a bad attitude.
    The episode I released, at the start of the year, was episode 232: "How To Maintain Personal Growth Throughout The Year."
    I propose, in this episode, to review the main principle I shared in episode 232 to ascertain how much you have progressed. I hope you will find this process helpful since we are now more than halfway through the year with only four months remaining.
    Now that we are about to enter the ‘Back to School' season, it matters to clarify and articulate how you will spend the rest of the year to stay in integrity with your goals and achieve them.
    The main success principle I shared to maintain personal growth is to commit to winning by cultivating a winning mindset and success habits. 
    I relate this main success principle to your goal achievement process.
    How are you doing? Have you made great strides towards your goal achievement since inception, or do you need to make more effort? Consider this.
    Where do you focus your mind regarding the goals you desire to achieve? Do you cultivate a mindset based on fear and defeat or perseverance and effort?  As you know, Walt Disney quoted that whether you say you cannot or you can, you are right. He indicated that we are free to choose our state of mind. In other words, you, as a creator, have full responsibility for your life since you determine your results in accordance with what you believe you can or cannot achieve. 
    If you find that you need to readjust your thinking to a winning mindset, attempt to observe your thoughts related to your chosen goal.
    Does your way of thinking help you progress or not? If it does not, you need to use your thought power positively to transform your results.  You accomplish your goal with a winning mindset and attitude. A winning mindset and attitude keep you going, help you come out of your comfort zone, overcome the terror barrier and take the risk to succeed. 
    A winning mindset is not enough, however. What is necessary is action taking in the form of success habits. 
    Have you diligently put in place winning habits? Winning habits lead to micro-wins like being clear about where your focus goes, for example. What you put your energy into grows. For example, are you grateful every day for your small successes, or do you tend to complain, blame, shame and criticise? Complaints usually lead to more things to complain about. Do not take what I say as a judgement but as an observation for greater awareness of where you put your energy and how it may affect your results. Like Robin Sharma says: Better awareness leads to better choices and better choices lead to better results.
    Another winning habit is the following:

    Hi, I’m Pascale Gibon. Welcome to episode 257 of the Everyday Life Balance Show. Thank you for tuning in.
    You might be at a turning point in your life and wondering what lies ahead for you. I know change can be scary.
    However, when you examine your life experiences to date, you realise that change is a natural process. Events in your life build your character and strengthen you even though you might not see it that way sometimes. You might see it more like another unwanted challenge. You might not accept the gift it offers. And I think the greatest gift a challenge offers is growth.
    I love to use the example of the bicycle. One day you could not ride a bicycle. A week later you do because you learnt. Your life was never the same; Riding a bicycle gave you a sense of freedom.
    You might be struggling with experiencing positive change in your life, and the tools I am about to share with you will help you take a step forward if you feel stuck.
    You are probably like a roller coaster with highs and lows on your journey to create change. You are on the right path however, if you experience some progress. My heartfelt encouragement is that you need to keep going.
    Climbing Mount Everest did not happen in one day. Equally, if you feel you doubt yourself make a note of the progress you have made so far. Sometimes we believe we do not move forward because our desired change is not happening fast enough even though it is happening steadily and in perfect order. Keep the faith.
    I shared Albert Einstein's quote in episode 256: "Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
    You are listening to this episode because you are willing and able to think differently and do things differently this time around to get your desired results.
    If you have a goal but feel stuck and doubtful, I suggest you return to the starting point to keep your end in mind and remain consistent on your journey to success.
    The hot topic right now is how to improve our finances. Therefore let us say that your goal for this quarter is to improve your finances.
    My first question for reflection is: What is your real intention? The etymology of intention is purpose, design or aim. When you answer this question, you create a picture in your mind of what you desire. In other words, you create your vision for your financial future.
    The second question is the following: what motivates you to improve your finances? Or what is your why? Why do you want to improve your finances?
    Are you fed up with a lack of quality of life? Are you frustrated living paycheck to paycheck? Do you struggle with being free financially and providing for your family? When you answer this question and unveil your why you will move into action.
    Once you have answered these two questions, remember to keep your vision and motivation or why visible to accomplish your desired goal.
    Lastly, scientific research reveals that it takes 66 days to change old habits. Therefore pat yourself on the shoulder each time you accomplish something towards your goal. You might be taking small steps and not seeing much progress. However, trust that it will come together eventually as long as you stick to your vision and keep moving towards your goal. If you are only 30 days in the process and feel stuck, you know that 36 days remain to change your old habit.
