One of the best drumming podcast
This podcast is just two passionate guys talking about their passion... But not just any two guys.
Mike (Johnston) is (to my mind) one of the most enlightening and inspiring drum teacher on earth, also a wicked player (but that is just a plus for him). (Later on referred as MJ)
And Mike (Dawson) is the managing editor at Modern Drummer Magazine and also a wicked player. One guy that is surprising me every time with his knowledge of drum making and sound. (Later on referred as MD... MD working at MD Magazine? Coincidence? I think not!!)
So with MD and MJ, you will have so many infos about how the industry works and what made them become passionate with that frustrating but so beautiful instrument, that you will need to pause-go back to some parts- and go back again to make sure you got it right.
All the goofy parts are a bonus that will make you cry from laughter.
I really love the podcast and still have at least a hundred and ten podcasts to go to, and I’ll be able to catch up with what they are actually at.
I am bingeing it and it is making my day everyday to be able to learn while I cannot play my favorite instrument.

Great show, entertaining and informative
I love the show. There are always a few nuggets of precious knowledge to memorize in every episode, lots of fun talks and musical discoveries.
Excellent way to stay motivated and to open your mind
And the guys are funny, just perfect.
