Decision to Move National Folk Theatre Out of Siamsa Needs to Be Re-examined – June 19th, 2024
That’s the call being made by artist Rob Heaslip who was trained under the Siamsa Tíre Folk Theatre system and was a member of the Siamsa community cast. He said moving the National Folk Theatre out of Siamsa would break the link with 50 years of cultural and artistic heritage in Kerry.

EirGrid Citizens’ Roadshow in Kerry – June 18th, 2024
Sinead Dooley, EirGrid’s head of public engagement, spoke to Jerry about the EirGrid Citizens’ Roadshow in the Brehon Hotel, Killarney tomorrow, Wednesday, from 6:30pm. ESB Networks and Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) are also taking part in the free event. It’ll include information on retrofitting grants and business supports.

Farmers Fear Confrontation With Recreational Land Users – June 18th, 2024
A new survey of farmers working in upland areas has found that a quarter feel threatened by the increased numbers of recreational users of their land, in particular people out walking with their dogs. Jerry spoke to John Joe Fitzgerald who is vice president of the Irish Natura and Hill Farmers’ Association and who farms on the slopes of Mount Brandon.
