The history of video game consoles, have their origins in the 1970’s. The concept of the home console started with the 1972 magnavox odyssey, in the 1966 by Ralph H Baer. the consoles had LED as indicatiors, soon they were replaced with LCD displays which gave birth to handheld consoles like the Microvision and game and watch series from Nintendo, and then evolving to the Gameboy
