Lucius Started playing drums age 3 and started playing live shows at age 13, leaving school to play drums professionally at age 15. Lucius is a founding member drummer co-writer for the band COG (2 x Gold Albums) . This experience gave Lucius a reputation as one of Australia's finest and flexible up and coming drummers.
Best known for bands such as COG & JUICE his music career was to expand. JUICE was Aria nominated and toured and supported bands like INXS, Hoodoo Gurus, Radiohead, The Tea Party and The Screaming Jets, to name a few. In 1998, Lucius formed another project COG, which had a breakthrough gig that supported System of a Down, a slot at the Big Day Out and Pyramid Rock Festival. Cog recorded their debut record in the US with producer Sylvia Massy (System of a Down and Tool) .
In April 2008, Lucius was featured in Australian drum magazine "Drumscene" as the feature cover story. 2008/2018, he was invited twice to play on the Drumscene Live Tour featuring some of the world's most amazing and unique drummers. In 2020 Continuing with his projects COG & Juice, Lucius is enjoying creating, writing, touring over seas & around Australia as well as playing in other projects plus teaching drums. Lucius also runs his recording Studio101 in Byron Bay NSW producing, engineering, mixing artist & bands. Most recent and notable is Wolfmother.
