The best way to spend 15 mins!
Brilliant advice, ideas and often just reassurance.
Wanted this to help, just made me fell worse about my parenting failures.
Maybe I haven’t given this podcast long enough, but I tried to get through 2 podcasts before I had to turn it off because it just emphasised how I was failing as a parent and made me feel worse. I would suggest that this podcast isn’t hosted by a person who has an idea how boys operate. All good I’m sure with girls who are very willing to sit and write in a diary everyday but boys are very different. No amount of coxing to write gratitude lists would be beneficial, I can’t even suggest he writes his name in a greetings card before a meltdown would shortly follow as a result never mind trying to get him to sit every day and write what he’s grateful for on top of homework that is a battle in itself etc. Talking about it is much the same. Where do I go from here? I tried to persevere but it just constantly goes on about gratitude and was making me feel like a total failure so I had to stop listening. Not helpful.
Excellent advice!
