154. Healing from the chaos and carnage with Ash Butters How I quit alcohol

    • Self-Improvement

In this episode I catch up with Ash Butters, host of the Behind The Smile Podcast, she is a Yoga & Meditation Teacher and has been Sober since 2020.
We chat about the chaos of her life before recovery and the moment she decided it was time to change. Ash went to rehab and joined the 12 step program to support her recovery. We dive deep into life in rehab, a day in the life of, even down to what they ate for breakfast. We chat about the importance of unpacking your past traumas big and small, changing relationships, learning to sit with your emotional pain, and the relief that you get on the other side of sitting through the discomfort.
Ash is a passionate advocate for recovery and is using yoga and meditation to help people change.

If you are struggling with physical dependancy on alcohol consider contacting a local AA meeting or a drug and alcohol therapist. Always consult a GP before stopping alcohol.
