Bitesize summary of the big issues of the day
This has become an invaluable source of information for me. It is one of the very few programmes from a mainstream news outlet that does not, in itself, try to set the news agenda. Rather it reports, as faithfully as possible for a thirty minute show, the day in Parliament, briefly outlining the main debates and issues.
It is not condescending, not simplistic and doesn't treat its audience like idiots which may not sound like much, but is a breath of fresh air in an era of cheap or dumbed down news media.
The only real problem with this podcast is its regularity of delivery. There have been a few missed editions over the last couple of weeks. Also the podcast does not often make it to your computer until late at night, meaning you're often playing catch-up the day after.
Otherwise, this is highly recommended.
