    2005 is often remembered for the men’s Ashes victory in which England ended an 18-year wait to regain the Ashes. This triumph completely overshadowed the achievement of the women’s team who broke an even longer record, regaining the Ashes for the first time since 1963 and subjecting Australia to their first loss in a Test match since 1984.

    Brunt was named Player of the Series after a match-winning performance in the deciding Test at Worcester which gave England a victory that should have been remembered for decades. Instead, the women’s team's achievement has largely been overlooked by the wider public, until now. Listen to find out more.
