After my interview last week with Suzanne Kingsbury, I thought about something she said.  She said writing for her was liking coming home to the boy next door.  It had always pulled on her, but she stayed busy with her desk job and ignored the pull.  When she finally decided to take a year off and write, she said it felt like she'd finally allowed herself to fall in love with the boy next door.  He'd been there all along, waiting for her to see him.
