I’m a 49ers fan from the UK. I stay up every Sunday night watching the game.
This podcast is a must listen for me every Monday morning when it lands. Matt and Jennifer give great insights and instant analysis post games.
I also love the midweek ask Papa segment. So much insight from all involved.

Love listening to 49ers Talk with Matt & Jennifer. Even in the off season there’s so much to chat about & keeps us UK fans up to date with goings on in the Bay Area. Go Niners.
Take of two halves ...
2023 Update: Stop talking to Carlos Ramirez. Every conversation sounds like he’s talking about the first game he’s ever seen. It is an utterly pointless segment that makes the skip button get hit quickly.
You don’t need him. JLC and MM are staggeringly more insightful.
2023 update: Jennifer Lee Chan’s full time inclusion, with Laura Britt leaving has made this podcast so much better. It actually worth listening to. The only issue now is the Carlos Ramirez segments. Local Niners fans have said he’s awful for a while and these mini-segs really confirm that. It’s painful and can be compared to a 9yo who has just discovered the sport but things they’re an expert. 2021 Update: This pod is infinitely improved with Jennifer Lee Chan is the other voice. Laura Britt is a significant problem. Too frequently, it is clear she not listen to Maiocco or the guest, as she makes comments that are so separated from what has just been said, it’s a little embarrassing. Jennifer Lee Chan on the other hand is thoughtful and insightful. Her inclusion in an episode takes this pod from below average to good. 2020 Update: Meh, it’s fine. I’ll give Maiocco slightly more credit for not having fewer interviews with players and coaches. This podcast is best when Maiocco isn’t interviewing someone who is not going to give any particular insight. Many of the player or coach interviews are flat out bland and boring. The best part comes from his discussion with the co-host when they actually discuss and debate Niner talking points that might teach the listen something new.
