#8 Social health, peer pressure and striking a balance in our ultra processed world The Small Steps to Wellness Show

    • Health & Fitness

For the last episode before the summer holidays, I am joined by Ben and Viki talking all things social health, peer pressure amongst children, discussing the value of cooking and eating together and more.

This conversation was triggered by a post by Ben where he talked about the cultural aspects of eating and how food is more than just the sum of its nutrients and calories.

Ben Winthrop is a Nutritional Therapist that recently completed an MSc in Clinical Nutrition, and he currently works as a Tutor/Student Support at The Culinary Medicine College.
He’s especially interested in how people relate to food in the broader context of society, but he also has a keen interest in movement; training in both breakdance and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
In September, he will start a second MSc in Occupational Therapy.

Viktoria Garbett graduated in Budapest as an economist specialising in PR and international communication, but then moved to the UK after falling in love with an Englishman. She recently quit her corporate job managing a big team, following her heart and passion for food and nutrition. For over 4 years she has been teaching people of all ages to cook as a side business, but then struggling with her health, she decided to study nutrition and take ownership of her own health.

Now, having recently gained her diploma in Culinary Medicine, making her a Nutrition Coach, she's currently working on launching her services of both nutrition coaching and expanding on her cookery classes. Find Viki on Instagram @twiddlefood
