Great podcasts

The Summer Break series has been great, specifically for learning about the clubs lower down the league that aren’t covered as extensively as the top 6. Keep up the great work!

My favourite football podcast

I only discovered football podcasts properly late last year (Where have I been, right?!) and this has become my favourite. Instead of the standard match reviews or blokey banter Jon and Nico engagingly discuss interesting questions and I often end a show having scribbled down three or four points they’ve raised that I want to reflect on or learn more about. Although they both can and ably do discuss things like the tactical and sociological contexts to football at a high level their intelligence is balanced with an easy charm, warmth and self awareness that makes them such a pleasure to listen to. As well as the Morons show I’ve enjoyed all the ones with top quality guests like the EPL previews with Tiago and Nathan, the stats one with James and Euan and the ‘writing’ one with Alex and Seb from Tifo. The Football Media series is such a unique and valuable contribution too. If you haven’t listened I highly recommend you do. Owen
