Shut up and get on with it!

Too many tangents, stupid waffle, irrelevant crap and a distinct lack of any kind of regard for the stories they’re telling. They may as well be sat in the pub talking about what they watched on telly last night. Found myself shouting at the iPad at least twice ‘just get on with it!’. Really irritating and I won’t be bothering with any more episodes. And I didn’t expect them to start the show with a short discussion on the ABV of the beer they were drinking.

Wrong in every way imaginable

I listened to one episode - the one about the Ladbroke Grove rail disaster - and found myself deeply shocked and upset at how grossly inappropriate this podcast was. The hosts laugh, joke about mispronunciation, take wild tangents, treat their audience as if they’re completely stupid; these would be arguably fine or commonplace if it was a podcast about anything else. But this is a highly sensitive subject: an event in which 31 people were brutally killed - hundreds of people and families were deeply traumatised and affected. I can only imagine how disgusted any of the survivors or bereaved would be if they stumbled upon this. This podcast manages to get everything wrong that it is conceivably able to do. It is the most misguided and tonally inappropriate depiction or discussion I’ve ever heard of such an event. Shame on you.
