    Tax rears its head in several parts of ACCA AFM. Corporation tax on profits in investment appraisal, dividend capacity and business valuations. The same three syllabus areas also involve the claiming of TAD. However, this podcast looks at two areas relating to shareholders. The general tax implications relating to purchase consideration. This is when the selling company shareholders can receive cash, shares or bonds in exchange for their shares. Also, under dividend policy the tax implications for the shareholder receiving a dividend vs the alternative — a share buyback at market value. This is where ACCA ATX comes in and there is no better expert in ACCA ATX than Aileen Edgar.     Ep#15 | SBR in AFM with Tom Clendon

    ACCA AFM includes the syllabus area of Corporate Reconstructions. This is a wide-ranging topic and as the examiners stated at the recent conference, has been challenging for the ACCA AFM students. One aspect of those challenges is how to restate the SOFP after a specified type of corporate reconstruction. This is where ACCA SBR comes in and there is no better expert in ACCA SBR than Mr. Tom Clendon. Tom is the famous ACCA SBR guru, podcaster, and a former examiner and marker. Over the last 30 years, he has helped thousands of students pass their ACCA final level accountancy papers.
