When I came across the AA podcast it was a breath of fresh air. Instead of a drab, boring and dull podcast I got a friendly, funny exciting and welcoming podcast! You instantly feel like you are one of the gang reminiscing over amazing retro video games and remembering similar experiences we all had growing up. The interviews are engaging and interesting & their top 25 list are a ton of fun. Every episode is well produced, fun, great to listen to and packed full of gaming goodness This is how you should do a retro gaming podcast! Keep it up lads. KAPOW
The only one to listen to

I have been looking for a podcast that looks back on various retro games, and these guys are the ones to listen to. I’ve stuck with a few others to begin with, but they either go completely off topic, divert to Fifa or spend 90% of the podcast chatting rubbish that isn’t game related then rush the last ten minutes about the game. I’m of a similar age to these guys and I can relate to their own experiences and get the majority of references they throw in. Dad jokes are welcome too! I’m a slow growing YouTube channel creator for retro game reviews, and listening to their chosen topics gives me inspiration to do reviews on games I had forgotten about. It’s funny, on topic and keeps me entertained on my journey to work and back. Keep it going boys! Classic from the attic.
This is peak retro gaming chat.

I’ve been listening to AA for several years now, and - to my eternal shame - haven’t reviewed the podcast yet. So here it is now. The thing I love best about Arcade Attack is that it feels less like you’re listening to a radio show about games, and more like you’ve gone out for a few drinks with some mates and the conversation has turned to “the good old days of gaming”. Some other podcasts may be more professionally produced, but few offer the same camaraderie and fun that AA does. On top of that, they’ve secured interviews with many diverse names from the whole history of gaming from Rob Fulop, who was there right at the emergence of gaming in the home to Ed Fries, who helped launch the Xbox; big hitters like EA/3DO’s Trip Hawkins, Mortal Kombat’s John Tobias and just this week, BioShock’s Ken Levine. There are also interesting and unusual interviews with some faces around the fringes of the industry who provide great insight too, such as interviews with the creator of the infamous Action 52 NES multi game cartridge, as well as one with Stephen Sexton, who wrote a poetry book based on Super Mario World. If you have any interest at all in retro gaming - or even just gaming in general , please give Arcade Attack a listen. More than 200 episodes of fun and entertainment, and the quality just keeps getting better and better. Thanks guys, and here’s to many more good times in the future.
