Arts Community Roundtable Covid-19: Looking to The Future The Arts and Everything In Between

    • Performing Arts

In this special episode of The Arts & Everything In Between Podcast, we heard from arts and cultural industry leaders and their thoughts on the next steps for venues as they begin to tentatively plan for the future - as uncertain as that may be. General Manager of The Civic Theatre, Niamh Ferry, Theatre Director of The Market Place Theatre, Vincent McCann, and Shows and Finance Manager of Ipswich Regent Theatre, Peter Ling, joined hosts Paul Fadden and Lucy Costello and explored how their venues are facing the current challenges, working to keep customers engaged and what they are doing to plan for the future and eventual re-openings.
-----------------------------------
TOPICS COVERED IN THIS EPISODE:
A month into closures, what has changed? How do venues engage with audiences right now, especially being sensitive at this difficult time? Likely September for reopenings, but realistically what does that mean? Shifting messaging to “we can’t wait to welcome you back.” How to use data to segment your audience and understand which audiences will be the first to return.  How to best support artists and the community?  How might arts spaces be used in a creative way? Brochures versus Digital: which is better right now? Behaviours will change when audiences return, what to do to start prepping now?  --------------------------------------
