132 - Plenty To Like As Tykes Out-Psyched

132 - Plenty To Like As Tykes Out-Psyched

After a number of draws, AFC Bournemouth got back to winning ways at the weekend - as they managed to wrecked the Tykes - psyche, in an accomplished display of control, flair, and hunger.
The 3-0 dispatching of Barnsley was one of those performance that you could purr at - indeed, it was purr-fect.
If we were to be picky we’d probably be recording this suggesting that we should have won 10-0, but with a trio of goals at the Vitality, with two from our left back extraordinaire, it made September 11th 2021 a very good day indeed!

131 - To Hull And Back

131 - To Hull And Back

A chance to analyse the weekend's 0-0 at the MKM Stadium in Hull as AFC Bournemouth failed to display their attacking prowess, and instead, took part in a rather mind-numbing match against a side who were well organised, but equally impotent.
It was a "Hull" of a journey as Boscombe fans traveled in their numbers up to East Riding of Yorkshire to face the Tigers - where we hoped that we would be able to maul them and leave them feeling far from "Grrreeeeat" - alas, the away side had little bite.
In this podcast, Sam Davis is joined by Keith Thomas to discuss the events in Kingston-upon-Hull, plus we hear from Daniel and Filippo with some overseas opinion.

130 - Boscombe Shock As Blackpool Rock

130 - Boscombe Shock As Blackpool Rock

Despite a mesmeric first half against our Seaside rivals on Saturday, Bournemouth were made to pay for a lacklustre second 45 as Blackpool clawed a draw from the jaws of defeat in a three minute spell which saw them take advantage of two moments of poor defending.
In this podcast, Sam Davis speaks to Tom Jordan as they dissect the full game at Dean Court - how are they feeling? What's the immediate reaction? Is there any need to start worrying?
If the shoe was on the other foot and we had drawn both matches away and won both our home games, there wouldn't be the despondency - but you can see it from both sides - we NEED to win matches like that! So, where were the problems, and what needs to be improved? Join us for 45 minutes of Cherry chatter.

    129 - Tricky Trees Felled

Sam Davis is joined by Tom Jordan and Neil Dawson as they dissect Saturday's encounter at the City Ground in Nottingham where the Cherries overcame Forest in a tense 2-1 victory.
AFC Bournemouth sported the green kit and left the Tricky Trees in trouble as ten-man Cherries ground out the win to secure our first win of the season thanks to strikes either side of the half from Brooks and Billing!

    128 - Bagging A Draw

    128 - Bagging A Draw

The 2021/22 season started at home, with all of the world able to watch our curtain-raiser against West Brom, a match which obviously Sky thought could be tasty - two sides with new managers, two sides with different reasons for being exasperated at the end of last season, plus, with both teams driven and determined as ever to get back to the big time - what could be better?
In this podcast Sam Davis, Tom Jordan, Neil Dawson and Kirk Tovey discuss the match, in which West Bromwich Albion pegged back Bournemouth twice in an entertaining draw at Dean Court in front of a capacity crowd.

127 - The Benefit of Hindsight

127 - The Benefit of Hindsight

This week, Kris Temple from BBC Radio Solent released a chat with Bournemouth Chairman Jeff Mostyn, the first time he has chatted at length for four years. Mostyn sounded re-energised, he sounded motivated, and he didn’t sound fearful about the club’s future. Some fans are still asking questions, yet some are content - and in this podcast, we chat over what we learned from the Chairman’s chat in the company of Sam Davis, Jeff Hayward, Tom Jordan, and BBC Radio Solent's Kris Temple. Jeff was spoken as ever, and he sounded focused, plus, he provided an apology of sorts, an explanation on managerial appointments, dismissals, and the search for a new manager… is it Scott Parker? Sources suggest now that he is NOT close to joining the Cherries, but why would he join anyway? Are we giving this another spin? The boys chat over the potential appointment and ponder what he could bring to the club. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to all our platforms.
