138 - Insert Biscuitmen Crumbling Pun Here...

Cherries carried on their unbeaten run at the weekend with Reading being the latest victim after a 2-0 win at the Madejski Stadium, one which had punmasters across the South scrabbling for Royals and Biscuit related jokes to jazz up their otherwise formulaic articles - Bournemouth start slow, Bournemouth get a foothold in the game, Bournemouth win the game...
Join Sam Davis, Tom Jordan, Neil Dawson and Mr Tigz, as they take you through the weekend's action. Cherries were both resilient and then dominant at the Madejski Stadium with Dom Solanke and Jamal Lowe popping up with goals either side of half time, but at what cost does the victory come? With players hobbling off the pitch and plenty of early substitutions, how will this leave the side ahead of a tricky home test in the week against Preston?
The show also includes a chat with League of 72's Simeon Ghloam and Cherries boss Scott Parker.

137 - Terrible Terriers Dom-inated at Dean Court

137 - Terrible Terriers Dom-inated at Dean Court

This weekend, Boscombe comprehensively took apart Huddersfield 3-0 at Dean Court, and as a result, Cherries sit atop the Championship, with a five point gap over Fulham.
Bournemouth put in a shift, and Scott Parker’s class of 2021 have now equalled a long-standing club record as Dominic Solanke’s first-half double provided the springboard for a 3-0 win over Huddersfield Town.
Victory, cemented by Lloyd Kelly’s first goal of the season, extended to 14 games the Cherries’ unbeaten start to the season, a feat achieved in 1961 when the club were in the third tier.
Sam Davis, Tom Jordan, Neil Dawson and Mr Tigz take you through the weekend's action.

136 - A Cold & Rainy Tuesday Night In Stoke

136 - A Cold & Rainy Tuesday Night In Stoke

Sam Davis and Jeff Hayward spend just under an hour looking at two very different performances over the last few days as AFC Bournemouth gained maximum points from our trips to Bristol City and Stoke City.
This includes a certain hat-tip to a reporter of the latter club, whose report on the game - it's fair to say - won't win any literary awards!
Don’t let the result fool you, AFC Bournemouth absolutely annihilated Bristol City today in a performance which exuded control and class - as the Robins were beaten 2-0 at Ashton Gate, and with Dom Solanke being clinical at the Bet365 - it was six points from six on the road!
There is stats, praise, and wonderment and ponderment - as Boscombe go clear at the top of the Championship - you love to see it!

    135 - The Goalscorer's Dad

    135 - The Goalscorer's Dad

In our last league game, Bournemouth overcame a deficit for the first time this season as Solanke and Billing netted inside three minutes to ensure that Boscombe go top of the table at a rain-soaked Dean Court against Sheffield United.
Fans were nervously optimistic despite the bore-draw against Peterborough, and in the pub beforehand, 2-1 seemed to be the fashionable scoreline. True to form, Bournemouth delivered - and whilst Solanke's penalty levelled things up, Billings effort effectively killed the game. When Phil Bill scores, Cherries do not lose!
In this podcast Sam Davis speaks with Neil Dawson, Jeff Hayward, Mr Tigz and Tom Jordan about the crucial win.
Plus, Jeff Hayward chats to Marc Billing, father of AFC Bournemouth BALLER Philip in this candid interview about being a parent of a professional footballer.
What's it like being the parent of a player that has overcome tough times to stick it out and then go on to tear it up in one of the most popular leagues in the world? What's it like to see your son getting criticism, is it hard to bite your tongue? And does he feel when the crowd are singing his name and loving every minute of seeing him in action?
We talk to him about Philip's rise in football, the social media criticism, the amount of input he has with his moves, and the pride he feels at seeing his son succeed.

    134 - Hatters and Handbrakes

Bournemouth survived a second-half fightback to defeat Luton Town 2-1 to return to the Championship summit, so in this pod, Sam Davis and Mr Tigz get together to chat over the weekend's antics - as resilience and steadfastness were once again key to retaining the top spot!
As has happened in recent home contests against Blackpool and QPR, Cherries took a comfortable-looking 2-0 lead into half-time at Vitality Stadium. However, the second half was anything but... So why? Why do we do it to ourselves?
The boys dissect the game, talk about Dom Solanke's goal celebration vs other iconic Cherry post-goal merriment, plus we question why Scott Parker seemingly likes to apply the handbrake when we are cleaerly demolishing teams!

133 - Iechyd Da - We're Top Of The League!

133 - Iechyd Da - We're Top Of The League!

The match against the Bluebirds at the Cardiff City Stadium was always going to pose a unique challenge For The Cherries, not least because the majority of their side were over 6ft - but enough of that tall story, because a Mick McCarthy side is always going to well drilled, work hard, and they’ll also be dogged.
So to be able to get three points of the Welsh side would be massive, and whilst most of us were hoping we’d be chinking our glasses in celebratory mood with a "Iechyd Da", many Boscombe fans admitted that they’d actually be fairly content with a point.
But Bournemouth showed a side to their game they should be really proud of as we created a host of chances in a clinical and formulaic display, and when you look at the way the home side were stunted, people of a certain tactical mindset might look back at this game as the performance of the season so far.
In this podcast, Sam Davis is joined by Tom Jordan and Jeff Hayward to discuss events in South Wales as the Cherries came away with an excellent 1-0 win.
