An analysis and celebration of the best queerbait ships out there.
Bait Of The Nation (The Final Destiel Update)
Bait's official statement on Destiel, the end of Supernatural, and the future of queerbaiting. Yeah. There was no way to make this any shorter.
Straightbait Special: Braime
Welcome to our second annual straightbait special! This week, Zoe and Maj discuss how much we hate Game of Thrones, how much we LOVE Gwendoline Christie, and proceed with the knowledge that Jaime Lannister would've been much happier if he were lobotomized.
This weeks suggested pairing is one of Maj's favorite fics from her high school days of yore and the only good game of thrones related media: https://archiveofourown.org/works/934161
Also be sure to check out Zoe's radio play: At the End of the World wherever you get your podcasts!
The Social Network (Markuardo)
This week, we cover the mastery of queerbait that is the homoerotic Mark Zuckerberg biopic. Join us as we discuss Andrew Garfield, The Last 5 Years, and whether or not this really counts as RPF.
This week's suggested pairing is the Social Network but they're lesbians script: https://drive.google.com/file/d/18fur2o-wpw2kwrSVKy-rZbxXIDPafsfL/view?usp=sharing

This week, in the episode nobody asked for, special guest star Ari takes us on a journey through the terrifying world that was the one direction fandom. Join us as we unpack Babygate, real person queerbait, and the impact of Joni Mitchell.
That's right folks. The Stucky episode is finally here. Join us as we discuss the unfortunate implications of The First Avenger, Superhero movies as a genre, and the sinking of a ship with so much potential.
This weeks suggested pairings are the Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay by Michael Chabon, and Avengers: The Children's Crusade by Heinberg and Cheung.
Finnpoe (featuring Jacob)
For Sale: Finnpoe Bottles, Never Popped. In this episode, we cover the queerbait that Maj was really hoping we wouldn't have to. Plus: Zoe's cousin Jacob guest stars!
Best show best show
I am waiting with baited breath to discover what this podcast has to say about Sam and Bucky in the falcon and the winter soldier.
This podcast made me cackle hysterically when it said called the social network ‘marriage story for gay people’, 10/10 would recommend
So so good
Listening to this podcast has made me realise how prevalent queerbaiting was during my formative years; a statement I think anyone can relate to if you were on tumblr circa 2011 to 2015 during the rise of superwholock *shudders*
Seriously though this podcast is amazing and I’ve listened to every episode more than once; I’ve even listened to episodes that I didn’t know the pairing for because of how amazing the hosts are at presenting them. Both of the hosts play off each other so well that it makes you feel like you’re just part of a conversation between some hilarious friends. The banter between the hosts is incredible and I haven’t laughed this much during a podcast in a very long time. (The episode detailing the 00Q phenomena is so funny)
However, the ultimate element that I love about this podcast is that while this is a celebration of queerbaiting, rather than a staunch critique of it (which is totally done in a respectful way), the podcast highlights and satirises the mindset behind shipping and queerbaiting; while also discussing the manner in which we engage with media during the age of social media and fandom culture.
im crazy now
this podcast is worth listening to if just for the galaxy brain moment where they compare merlin from bbc merlin to roy cohn
