Be With Me is a daily 7 minute chronological walk through the New Testament hosted by Michael Smith. It is for everyone who is curious about what Jesus actually said and did in the gospels. Most episodes will leave you with at least one good thought to chew on for the rest of the day. We start with the Bible and hopefully end with Awe. We are walking through the chronological events of Jesus' life and then thoughtfully considering them. It is meant to spur the devotional life of the Christian and the not-yet-Christian. We occasionally venture into the Old Testament when it helps our understanding of the New Testament events. Everybody has 7 minutes. Everybody needs to wonder. Be With Me is hosted by Michael Smith who has absolutely no special qualifications to do a podcast. He is not a pastor. He has not been to seminary. He does not lead a mega-church. He is not a professional and he has no more credentials than you do. He does, however, follow a great God with an observant eye and a curious heart. Each day, he starts with a study bible and aims for astonishment. ‘be with him’ for 7 minutes as he sets out daily to discover the God who invites us to ‘Be With Me.’

Jesus is in the Star business. He created them and then identifies Himself with them.
I am the bright morning star.
This is a star we have been waiting for. It is a marker He uses for identification of Himself. Here's the kicker: He says we GET THE STAR. He is going to give us HIMSELF. If you are a conquerer til the end, "I will give him the MORNING STAR". This is to say, He will give us of Himself.

OK, I don't really know WHEN Jesus is coming back. But He does, and He says it's SOON. On the last page of the Bible, He says it 3 times! We'd best take Him at His word, and then act accordingly.

What will you do with your CROWN? S27e91 Rev 22:12
Christians get a little squirmy about the topic of receiving REWARDS in heaven. That is understandable because the unmerited favor of God gets them there in the first place.
God is less squirmy. He is just. He changes hearts, and those changed hearts CHANGE BEHAVIOR. Some of that is to be REWARDED. He may be handing out CROWNS in heaven. My time is short. S27e90 Rev 22:6
John addresses two big concepts as he wraps up Revelation. The first is: Are these words TRUE and if so does RELYING on them mean? If this revelation is not a Revelation from God then it should not affect us in the least. He charges us to KEEP these Words and continue in them with strength.
The second concept is TIME. He repeatedly reminds us that TIME IS SHORT, or at least YOUR time is short. So then, if my known time is coming to an end, how shall I live? If you wonder, see point #1 about putting your weight on the promises.

See the face of God(and not die) s27e89 Rev 22:4
I cannot help but mention the evil NAZI Major Arnold Toht whose face melted when opening the ark in the Indiana Jones movie. Today's passage is exactly the opposite of death and face melting.
God grants a new privilege for believers in heaven: it is the ability to SEE HIS FACE and not die. We were originally designed for such intimacy.
