Who’s a good candidate for a nose job? What are the different types of nose jobs?  How do I choose a surgeon?  Rhinoplasties are highly specialized surgeries and it’s very important you are well informed before taking this big step in your life.
Questions to ask your surgeon:
Are you certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery? Am I a good candidate for this procedure? What surgical technique is recommended for me? Where and how will you perform my surgery? What are the risks and potential complications with a cosmetic rhinoplasty? How are complications handled? How can I expect my nose to look/age over time?

Numbness after surgery is very common. Some causes of numbness are on purpose, like anesthesia and nerve blocks. Nerves also get disrupted and damaged during surgery, and it takes time for those to heal. Don't panic, educate yourself! Dr. Martin and Amy talk about how your nervous system works and why you're numb.
