West Coast Slice by Carnival Brewing Company (American IPA) - 6.5% ABV

Brewed with our mega-talented pals Dig Brew Co and inspired by US craft legends Dogfish Head, West Coast Slice is an IPA in the West Coast style.

As part of the 90 Minute IPA style, the beer was continually hopped with Centennial and Columbus throughout a 90 minute boil. The resulting beer is rammed with pine and citrus aromas, raisiny and citrusy flavours and a malty, bitter finish.

Boris The Man Child Resigns But Kinda Doesn't

Boris The Man Child Resigns But Kinda Doesn't

The 45th episode of the ‘Beer n BS Show’
Join us as we talk shit so you don’t have to…
Warning… there are a few angry rants ahead! We, perhaps for the last time, dedicate a show to the most embarrassing leader Britain has ever had! The man who dreams of spitfires, WWII spirit and who his next sexual contest will be; has pretended to resign!
Having a two-day tantrum whilst close to 50 members of his party resign – Boris has agreed to stand-down as leader of the Conservative Party until a new leader can be found from the bag of spineless bastards that make up the Tory party.
In this episode we have a good moan… that’s all you need to know. This show was pre-recorded – so we half expect Boris to fuck up a few more times yet – thus what we say may not be up-to-date or accurate. What a C**T!
Enjoy the show, hit the sub button and leave us a review!

Bianca Orange Pineapple Lassi Gose by Ominpollo (Smoothie/Pastry Sour) – 6.0% ABV
Rachel rates 8.6 out of 10CassetteLord by UnBarred Brewery (Hazy NEIPA) – 6.1% ABV
Aaron rates 7.8 out of 10Win Hill by Thornbridge Brewery / Brewgooder (Hazy NEIPA) - 4.1% ABV
Geoff rates out 8.1 of 10Aaron's Craft Beer Suggestion:
Body Riddle by Whiplash (American Pale Ale) - 4.5% ABV
Our interpretation of a modern American Pale Ale - Body Riddle arrives at near pilsner straw colour from its minimal malt base of Floor Malted British Pale Malt, Carapils and Wheat Malt so as not to crowd a busy bright hop bill of Lemondrop, Galaxy, Simcoe and Ekuanot hops.

As per our usual delivery we’ve packed this one out with a nose of lemon rind, passionfruit, grapefruit juice and fresh piney goodness that follows through to a silky soft, sessionable body.

In this episode we catch up with Rachee Dee and discuss the wedding of the year, talk about the world famous Jorvik Viking Festival and Banquet that is held in York and wrap up by losing our shit talking about Bojo! What a C**T!

Best Foot Forward by DEYA Bewing Co. (English Bitter - Cask) - 4.4% ABV
Best Foot Forward is a traditional English bitter with the finest Brookhouse hops. Fresh, delicious, English malted barley brings biscuit and light caramel character to the beer, while locally grown and processed hops bring a moreish dark fruit flavour and a firm bitterness. Fermented with our house yeast (an English ale strain) for light stone fruit esters and a thick mouthfeel. Packaged at lower carbonation to replicate a pint in the pub. Lush

    Beer or BS - S01E01 - Weddings

    Beer or BS - S01E01 - Weddings

Introducing a new format to the show – we will be publishing the extended ‘Beer or BS Segment’ as an individual episode.

Have a listen as the team attempt to tease out the bullshit from a number of facts (beers). This weeks ‘Beer or BS’ is about weddings and some of the stranger customs that have evolved over the years; like throwing shoes at the newly married couple or the bride wrapping a penny in a nettle leaf and shoving it up her ass! Enjoy!

    The Beer and One B******t:
Let’s get the sexiest one out of the way… the word BRIDE derives its meaning from the word COOK, in that the bride was to be a cook for the husband. Talking about the 14th of May - Folk law says that May is the most unlucky month to marry in. Medieval brides would place a single penny wrapped in a nettle leaf between her buttocks. Clenching tightly onto the stinging parcel - this was thought to deter and drive away evil spirits that sought to devour her before her prospective groom. One British tradition dictates that males present at the wedding should throw their shows at newly married couple – for good luck. Vena Amoris – or the vein of love! It is thought we wear the ring on the fourth digit as the vein runs straight to the heart. The groom would, after the bride throws her bouquet, use his teeth to take of the brides garter… and throw it to the males at the wedding. The man who catches it… is supposed to go up the dress of the woman who caught the bouquet and have her wear it. Traditionally this pair were meant to share the next dance. The wedding ceremony traditionally ends with a kiss because, according to ancient Rome, the kiss is a legal bond that seals the contract.
