Being Black Emory: Interracial Dating
With interracial dating becoming more commonplace in contemporary American society, our panelists share their romantic encounters with non-Black individuals both on dating apps (Tinder, bumble) and in face-to-face experiences. They cover multiple aspects of dating interracially, such as fetishization, microaggressions, emotional labor, and cultural differences. From listening to their stories, interracial dating is clearly not as peaceful as popular media portrayals.
