Episode 89 - Nice Day For A Red Wedding

In this episode we're bringing you some notorious nuptuals and some sanguinary spouses, because the theme for our Double Feature is brides, but we've found two very different ones to talk to you about. And we've had to squeeze them in, because my goodness we have a lot to talk about this episode - we've got loads of news and other Horrible Business to get through, and we have quite a bit to say about a very Fresh Hell too.

Episode 88 - Want You Back For Gore

Did you think we'd left you for ever? Heaven forfend - we love talking to you dearest listeners about horror too much to ever do that. Instead we've been preparing for this bumper crop, covering what we've been up to over the last 9 months, what we've enjoyed, some small bits of new and then the meat of the episode - watching three horror films and talking to you about them. We start with a delightful horror comedy, then jump straight into it with two recent remakes of peerless classic horror films. Are they duplicating the previous lightning in a bottle, or licking a 9 volt battery? Listen to find out. And we've missed you - it's good to be back.

    Episode 87 - It’ll Never Cabin Again

We're sorry! We promise never to leave you for this long again! But we're back in the Shed with another look at all that's chilling, and we've got a great episode on an absolutely iconic horror film this episode, and we are even quite complimentary about it's 21st Century remake, which is rare for us. There's also a horror drama podcast and lots of horror news (well it's been a while).

Episode 86 - Alien vs Predator vs Terminator

Episode 86 - Alien vs Predator vs Terminator

We normally pride ourselves in a good punny title, but for this one we're going full Ronseal - exactly what it says on the tin. This packed episode features a three-way Royal Rumble of three of the biggest names in sci-fi horror but also finds room for the usual horror news and the biggest Dead Horse we've ever had the misfortune to flog.

Episode 85 - Wheel Meat Again

Episode 85 - Wheel Meat Again

What's this - the Shed Boys trying something new? In an unprecedented move we throw format out of the window and try a freewheeling discussion about a random horror genre in our new Breaking Wheel section, but it's shorter than anticipated because we end up talking for over half an hour about a computer game from 2002, as is our wont.
(Unfortunately there's some background noise from about the 40 minute mark due to some nearby DIY that we weren't able to clean out, but hopefully it won't affect your enjoyment of the episode).

Episode 84 - This Is Not A Drill

Episode 84 - This Is Not A Drill

Well it's a whole New Year but we're back on our usual b******t, talking about YET ANOTHER slasher franchise because that's all we do now. But this is the last slasher-focused episode for a while because even we're a bit burned out on this classic subgenre now. It's a doozy though, as we go for a Triple Feature that is actually almost a Quadruple Feature, on the Slumber Party Massacre franchise.

Episode 69

I’ve been meaning to suggest The Hunger purely for the appearance of Bauhaus in the opening scene as a reference to this podcast’s title Undead, undead, they definitely are. Episode 68 LOL has ticked all three boxes for me as we’ve watched both movies and the excellent The Terror recently and enjoyed them all thoroughly. Only Lovers left alive is cinematic mastery, because you believe in their relationship alone, but it brings the subtle balance of being in danger and also being the danger beautifully. Thanks for a brilliant episode.

Great podcast for horror fans

I have always enjoyed listening to people talk about subjects they are knowledgeable about and passionate about - this podcast is a great example of both of these. The added bonus is that I have loved horror films and this podcast is a fascinating insight into many of films I have loved over the years. It is great to hear the two hosts talk about films in a positive light despite sometimes the films’ shortfalls and limitations.

The “easily available horror” is an excellent idea and has directed me to a few things I would otherwise have missed.

A great listen and having binge-listened (if that’s a real term) over the past few weeks, they can’t make new shows fast enough.

Terrific and horrific horror fun

An hour of well informed and highly intelligent analysis of horror movies, from the bredth and depth of the genres catalogue, presented by a couple of people with a sense of humour that makes boric acid seem like nutrasweet?
Yes Please!!
Absoloutly adore this show, not only because it makes me look at films I love in a new light but also reconsider one's I've missed out on because I didn't think they were for me. The "Easily Available Horror" section is worth the price of admission alone, because there is a glut of cash in awfulness and arthouse overkill out there and that bit just cuts through to the meat of what's worth watching.
If you like horror subscribe to this, now! Of the thing under the bed will nibble on you, in an unpleasent way ;-)
