Feeds my addiction!

I’m one of those people who visited NOLA over a decade ago and am addicted! I can’t shake my love of everything New Orleans and this podcast helps feed and fuel my obsession. Thank you so much!

Feeling at home

Just got back to the UK from New Orleans. Having spent the last few months dipping into the podcast I felt that I understood the place as soon as I arrived. Had a great time at the French Quarter Festival but did other things we might not have considered without this podcast - exploring the architecture of the Garden District, visiting the Food and Beverage Museum, eating at Jacques Imo's and staying on Algiers Point.
We travelled to New Orleans by Amtrak and wondered about the impact the railway had on New Orleans, perhaps an idea for a future podcast. We loved New Orleans but found the amount of plastic used in the city unsettling - plastic bags, cups and straws are everywhere. Are there any attempts being made to make New Orleans more Eco Friendly?

Pure Gold

I have really enjoyed listening to a number of the podcasts from 'Beyond Bourbon Street'. Not knowing much about the city, the podcasts have given me a great feel for the place in preparation for my family's first trip from the UK to New Orleans in January. Being a die hard Saints fan since I was a kid and the days of Morten Anderson and Pat Swilling, I found episode 34 on the history of the Saints particularly interesting. The only thing you forgot to leave out Mark was how one goes about getting tickets for a game. I am only there for the dates 2-7 January and it looks like they may be involved in the playoffs at that time (clutching wood as I write) so tickets would obviously be like gold. Failing getting to the game, any tips on a family friendly bar to watch football whilst in the city? My kids are 8 and 12. In summary though, great podcast, very inciteful, nicely put together and with a very professional sound recording.
