Locked On NBA – Daily Podcast On The National Basketball Association Locked On Podcast Network

Obviously an unrivalled daily NBA network with effectively more than 100% coverage for all teams. Also a great concept to bring in hosts from the various locked on team shows for relevant news around their team.

However, the sound mixing and production of many episodes is poor and sometimes makes them literally “unlistenable” to me. The latest ep regarding the BK nets has the nets host’s mic turned up so high that I can hear his deepest darkest secrets. No one should have to hear every excruciating breath, mouth noise or glug of coffee during a top rated podcast like this.

To make it worse, the other host’s mic was way down, so I either had to suffer the mouth noises or not hear one of the people entirely.

The general issues with sound mixing for all the different speakers across multiple episdoes makes me think that these are not listened to before release, which then gives a “quantity over quality” feel to the whole thing.

I get that it is a rather small issue to dig at, but it can ruin an episode. It also just shows a lack of care and attention to the product, especially when all the guest speakers are nearly always full-time, professional podcast hosts themselves!!!
