There is so much misinformation from non-qualified individuals about binge eating. I'm Jo, I'm an anti-diet Registered Dietitian and Certified Intuitive Eating Counsellor from Ireland and I'm here to smash the taboo of binge eating. I have so so much to say on this topic and I know you need to hear it. When you are struggling with your relationship with food, you can feel like you're the only person who knows how you feel. The truth it, lots of others are going through exactly the same as you, but thanks to binge eating being a taboo, we never hear about that. I'm a Registered Dietitian in Ireland, UK and USA and I currently live in Boston, USA. Well worth a listen
Jo is very compassionate and open about the topic of binge eating. She talks about the topic in a way that really breaks down the shame, which is usually key to what keeps disordered eating going. As someone who’s had a range of eating disorders and done all the diets, then all the binges- I’ve found her Instagram very helpful. And now great to hear these useful podcasts with her compassionate and educated stance on the topic of binge eating. To someone who experiences disordered eating or binge eating I would just say whatever stage in your journey you are, take an open mind and listen to the “best advice episode” for some great pointers.
