Did you know there are books throughout history that have been banned? They've been eliminated from shelves in libraries, schools, and even shops. Did you know that the large majority of these books are by women, and even more by women of colour? I chatted with author Rachel Edwards about The Color Purple, Beloved, Fun Home, and the banned books society didn't want us to read.

What a time to be a feminist!

I subscribed to books that matter in 2019 and I honestly couldn’t be happier that Books That Matter exists. Listening to the podcasts along with reading the books really takes the whole experience to the next level. The Books that matter podcast makes me incredibly proud to be a woman and I encourage all the women (young and old) living in the UK to subscribe to the monthly Books That Matter boxes as well as be part of the discussion by listening to the podcasts etc.
