Enjoyable

I enjoyed it. You probably would. That’s all.

Wow, this Laura Moss chick is good!

An impressive introduction into the life of a small business. Did I mention that Laura Moss chick is really good??

Good, but could be great

First, the good:

Most of the voice acting is excellent throughout.

The writing is generally good.

The sound-editing is sometimes very good, especially when it is done by Louise Dai.

The directing, especially in the early episodes.

What could be improved:

The ending makes no sense. I won’t give spoilers, but the ending makes too little sense to generate tension or suspense and the baddie is too two-dimensional to be scary.

Sometimes it felt as is the episodes could be slightly more elegantly tied together.

The politics at the end seemed a little jarring and forced. It seemed slightly odd that the show should end up explicitly telling us its views on capitalism, especially in ways which weren’t jokes or tying in with the whole idea. This was more of a pity since it sort of ruined the tragi-comic aspects of one character’s communism in early episodes.
