Can I just say… that this is a podcast about stories we love. A joyous in-depth discussion of characters and themes in movies, television, and literature and how they are meaningful for us.

Pour yourself a glass of something lovely and settle in for a cosy chat.
I first found Daphne and Liz through Fathoms Deep, their Black Sails podcast, which is now absolutely required listening for all new fans of the show. Their in-depth and carefully considered discussions so often make me see things from new and interesting perspectives, and their conversations have led to several amazing revelatory moments that completely changed how I understood certain stories and characters. Even more than their valuable insight though, it's the atmosphere that they create that keeps me coming back for more, and that made me excited to follow them to Can I Just Say. They have the sort of friendly, enthusiastic chats that you find yourself desperate to join in with, and their welcoming online presence makes that entirely possible. The conversations keep getting more interesting, and I can't wait to see where they take us next.
