This months special guest is Simon Bartlam, the main man over at Dinton Pastures Country Park, one of the best carp fisheries in the country. 20. Carp Fishing Podcast - Phil "Jacko" Jackson Special - Iconic Carp Episode

    20. Carp Fishing Podcast - Phil "Jacko" Jackson Special - Iconic Carp Episode

Phil Jacksons story telling and carp fishing exploits from years gone by pulled me in and took me on an historic trip down memory lane. Story telling is a skill and Phil was a natural, I really felt like I was sat in his swim all those years ago. It's full of fun, frolics and of course some incredible carp captures from what many believed to be the Everest of carp angling back in the day, the Mighty Wraysbury, the home of Mary, a well documented slice of British Carp record history.

    19. Carp Fishing Podcast #19 - Elliott Gray Special

    19. Carp Fishing Podcast #19 - Elliott Gray Special

This month we catch up with the man behind the fantastic Cyp|ography carp fishing films, Mr Elliott Gray. Elliott has been around the carp scene for what seems like decades and has caught some incredible carp along the way. His opinions are strong but the cheeky Essex lad doesn't take things to seriously either. He's always great value for money and this podcast's no different. We also discuss carp diet, heavy leads and challenges of winter carping on low stoked lakes with ageing carp.

Tips for a Yorkshire listener

Great podcast, great information. Very responsive to questions, I have asked a fair bit and always get a reply. Thanks Mike for your advise and taking time from your busy schedule to answer my query. Hope the new plans go well for all at Baitworks and Mark in particular.
Keep up the good work.

I love this Podcast

I'm not usually one for writing reviews but on this occasion I felt compelled. This was my first foray into the world of Podcasts and I must say I'm delighted. I started listening in early 2020 whilst camped on the bank in the hope of catching some carp, probably a bit optimistic with it only being the end of January but there you go and hence to say I blanked right up to Lockdown. One of the things that certainly kept me going on those long winter nights was this Podcast. I really like the the fact it's quite raw and not at all polished with hours of editing. You hear the mistakes, the near takes and even the mistakes are left in. There is no endless plugging of brands and although it's fairly obvious from the outset that Baitworks is a major part of Mark and Mikes life it isn't rammed in your face whatsoever. In the past few months during lockdown I have managed to catch up on all the previous episodes and have enjoyed every single one. All the guests have been interesting as are the features that Mark and Mike cover before and after and I can't wait for the next one. Just a couple of final points to add, if like me you listen while fishing and you're wearing headphones, you'll probably be hopping round your bivvy when a mozzy flies past the microphone and you hear it in your ear! Lastly if I need a laugh I listen on half speed, it sounds like two drunk guys talking about fishing, has me in tears! Keep up the good work guys! Insta: boneyfish555
