George Webber of Greenside Primary School

George Webber of Greenside Primary School

I speak to George Webber, the inspirational Deputy Head of Greenside Primary School.  George is responsible for a new way of thinking at Greenside, under her stewardship the curriculum is now taught through the lens of regenerative agriculture and food.  The kids grow wheat, they bake bread and they all eat nutritious food made in house.
I often hear that the problems in food and farming are reflective of a broader cultural malaise, surely the best way to combat this is through introducing a different way of being to the next generation.

Excellent

Cellarmen Sam is a great podcast and Sam goes deep into his subject and brings a powerful perspective to the food and cheese world.

Passion and insight

Many of us might eat a chunk of cheese with some crackers and chutney and think little more of it - but there's a lot more to cheese than that, especially artisan cheeses. Sam's Podcasts explore the incredible work, creativity and respect for tradition and the environment of our cheesemakers and, given the current coronovirus crisis that's threatening the industry, it couldn't be more timely. Hat's off, Sam, for your drive to shine a spotlight on our great cheese heroes.

Rewarding

Sam,
One of the outcomes of CV19 has been the re-emergence of your podcasts. Your dulcet tones, well considered chats and diverse but focused guests, make this Cellarman Sam podcast, so very rewarding and a blazing ray of light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you.
Tom O. Listener.
