Coffee & Geography 1x07 Hannah Bloomfield (UK‪)‬ Coffee & Geography

    • Society & Culture

Kit talks to Dr Hannah Bloomfield (she/her) over a cuppa Twinings Breakfast Tea, chatting about maps, maps and more maps, disastrous baking and knitting a climate change scarf, amongst other things!

Hannah is a Research Scientist working in the energy-meteorology group at Reading University, forecasting renewable energy from days-decades ahead. She completed a Natural Sciences degree at the University of East Anglia, where she realised she was really interested in renewable energy and climate change. Hannah had a few months travelling and then was lucky enough to be offered a PhD place a Reading studying exactly those issues. When not working, Hannah likes being outside, although not always for active things! Her dream day is curling up in the back garden with a book and a large cocktail.

Some links to things mentioned in the chat:
- Some fictional maps (https://geoawesomeness.com/top-10-maps-of-your-favourite-fictional-worlds/)
