Continued Coaching, Triggers and Realizing your Potential Escape Diet Prison - The Podcast with Anne-Sophie Reinhardt

    • Health & Fitness

In this episode of the Escape Diet Prison Podcast, I talk about follow-up care and staying in a healthy place throughout recovery from your food and body image issues and beyond.

I strongly believe in having a structure of "care" even if you've been in recovery for a while or are fully recovered as our battle with food is not the root cause of our pain.

There are, of course, all kinds of opportunities to receive continued support and care; a nutritionist is different from a therapist who is different from a coach. I believe that throughout life, we'll need support from different kinds of professionals as life isn't over after we've healed our relationship with food.

The question you may want to ask yourself - when you feel quite solid around food and your body - is: what are you wanting to get out of your life? In other words: what do YOU desire right now and in the future?

If you're worried about being triggered and having past memories come up, there's a huge opening for you to go deeper and inquire more.

What is there that worries you about being triggered?

What is not resolved yet? What are you allowed to let go of now that you've grown even more?

I have been in lots of coaching relationships ever since I started my recovery from several eating disorders and depression and I find it tremendously helpful to have someone by my side. My needs have shifted over the years, but having that support is priceless, especially when you feel called to live into your fullest potential and are yearning to let your heart guide you.

How have your needs shifted?

How are you showing up for life and for yourself right now? How are you allowing your fears to box you in and are you willing to blast through your self-made prison doors?

I coach several women who have (almost) fully healed their relationship with food and their bodies and are now wanting to get more out of life. We still talk about body image and food issues at times as they do come up, but most of the time, we realize that whatever comes up, comes from a deeper place.

The same is true for you.

So, if you feel the nudge to go back to therapy, coaching or whatever kind of support you desire, follow through, dare to book an appointment, make the time for your own healing and show up for yourself in the best way you can at this point in your life.

Love and light,
