Weird!

Great podcast (thanks to the Diane Podcast (also awesome) for introducing me to it). I initially approached it as a Twin Peaks episode-by-episode podcast, but it's not that, it has a core of general weirdness subjects with a crunchy shell of Twin Peaks (there is a fair amount of Twin Peaks content). Listening to it reminded me of a magazine in the UK from the 1980's that I loved called "The Unexplained", especially after listening to the UFO episode.

@Michael L Worrall summed it up very well as a gateway drug to weird podcasts. It's more of a buffet than an "x" course meal, I find I pick and choose bit that I like (Twin Peaks, General Weirdness, Lovecraft) and skip over other bits that I'm not particularly interested in (music, readings), and that's fine.

I feel like I'm starting a journey to a place both wonderful and strange....

Just Fantastic

The best review series of this complex and sometimes frrustrating series. A mixture of review and open ended discussion taking in varied and diverse reference points.

A lot of reference to HP Lovecraft who is someone I am not so familiar with but with their depth of knowledge and engaging enthusiasm for the weird I just find this podcast to be a great way to stimulate my own strange thoughts thanks guys...

Twin Peaks Gateway Drug to the wider weird

If you can't get enough of the uncanny, the eerie and the esoteric elements of Twin Peaks, Counter Esperanto use the platform of Peaks and Lynch's works to delve into explorations of Weird texts. Fascinating discussions, surrounding texts and artists that you leave the podcast wanting to find out all about, the show also provides a suitably immersive, atmospheric experience - particularly in the fantastic readings of weird works.
Has really inspired me to go out and find more weird works, and I always am excited when a new episode lands, knowing it will be something unique, informative and...mysterious.
Thanks,
Michael L Worrall
