EPISODE 332 : End of season review part 2
Following on from Part 1, this time Matthew talks to podcast regular Paul and returning (Arsenal Friendly) Brentford fan Dave Powell (@powellds), to get perspectives both within and outside the matchgoing Arsenal fan base.
More end of season awards (including those for @BrentfordFC), a little schadenfreude, and a rather more serious chat about the Premier League, dirty money and how Real Madrid somehow managed to be the good guys this year. -
Episode 331: End of season review & awards: Part 1
Part one of the Daily Cannon Podcast end of season review, where Matthew is joined by Anita and Lana to give their main takeaways from the season, put their votes in for the Daily Cannon Podcast Awards, and cast an eye to next year. Plus, they celebrate Karim Benzema & Luca Modric's ageless seasons, and reflect on Real Madrid's astonishing Champions League season.

Episode 330: Reasons to be cheerful
This week Matthew is joined by Anita, Helen & Paul to look back at the end of season day in the sun against Everton, talk about the atmosphere at the Emirates Stadium, and how we all feel now the dust has settled, and why. We also look forward to what the club needs to do next, and try to make sense of why so many of the players linked in the media seem to have to little in common with each other in terms of profile.
-
Episode 329: Arsenal falter at the moment of truth
Matthew and Paul try to find catharsis in talking about back to back defeats at Tottenham and Newcastle, as well as asking how, why and what could we have done differently.
We bemoan dodgy Spurs penalties, pi*s poor punditry and having all the defenders get injured at once, while looking forward to next steps (and at Teemu Pukki miracle...) -
Episode 328 - Eddie steadies Arsenal as D-day approaches
Matthew and Paul look back at the win over Leeds, praise Nketiah's ability to repeatedly close down goalies and try not to soil their undergarments ahead of Thursday's visit to the toilet bowl. Plus we (almost) feel sorry for Man United (actually not at all), marvel at Real Madrid suddenly being the successful force for good, and try to work out how we feel about the attempts to give us an anthem.
-
Episode 327: "Its Back On!" as the kids (and Granit) come to the fore again
Matthew and Paul enjoy looking at back to back victories over Chelsea & Man Utd, reflect on the madness of both games, and are pleased as punch for Bukayo, Emile & Eddie. We also laugh at Bruno Fernandes, enjoy the prospect of playing West Ham when they have no centre-halves, and hope Brendan Rodgers' Leicester City can remember to play until the final whistle against Spurs this time. Plus we give Xhaka and Mo some love.
Customer Reviews
Really rather good
Leaning towards good analysis rather than banter. But the analysis is v good.
Interesting Opinions Spoilt by Bad Sound
Cogent, informed opinions but completely hopeless sound ruined the listen.
Buy good mikes guys!
Good podcast and nice opinions but...
I do enjoying listening to this podcast but I find it can go on a bit too long. I know you guys enjoy talking about Arsenal but maybe be concise with your points. Aim for the 45 minute runtime and I think it could become great.
On the plus side nice analysis of players and tactics and some opinions that are on point. Cheers guys.
