When my husband died in November 2019 from a respiratory disease, I felt extreme anxiety, fear, loneliness, depression, and isolation. To cope, I immediately turned to dark comedy. It was what my husband and I had used throughout most of his illness to make the tough times bearable. Now, I want to share this coping skill with you on my podcast, Death Is Hilarious. Join me, Tawny Platis, my co-host Sam Peterson, and our guests as we talk about using stories, friendship, and lots of really dark jokes to cope with grief, loss, and trauma. Interview: "Widow We Do Now?" With Anita and Mel
In this episode, I (Tawny) chatted with Anita and Mel from the podcast Widow We Do Now?, the show that addresses topics related to grief, death, bereavement, and moving forward through the inescapable pitfalls of young widowhood. And it’s funny too! We talked about podcasting being a great platform for teaching and healing, learning from other people’s grief, normalizing the different ways we grieve and normalizing mental health through social media, and creating communities for people who feel like they have to grieve a certain way. Customer ReviewsSee All
Thank you for this intensely beautiful, witty and yet sad podcast. Your words mean so much.
If you aren’t listening to The Dirty Bits Podcast you need to rectify this immediately! This show has given me an interesting view of history, and if this had been around when I was studying history in school, i definitely would’ve took more of an interest!
Too many adverts
Love the podcast itself but way too many adverts, some even start mid sentence which is distracting and very off putting. Can’t listen to it, which is such a shame.
