Decentered Media Podcast 106 - Indigenous Radio Decentered Media Podcast

    • Society & Culture

In the fifth session of our World Radio Day Discussions, we were joined by Dr Katie Moylan, of the University of Leicester and Richard Davis from KUYI FM – Hopi Radio, based in Norther Arizona. We discussed how indigenous radio is essential to a sense of belonging that can’t be traded in the marketplace, and which can keep us connected with our deep-rooted cultural traditions and identity. Richard’s call that we should reclaim the airwaves was a positive note to mark the end of an invigorating day of talking, sharing and thinking.
