Decentered Media Podcast 107 - Growing Social Capital Decentered Media Podcast

    • Society & Culture

Social Capital Week takes place annually during the last week of February. It’s a week of activities that aim to bring the concept of Social Capital to life and its relevance to building greater cohesiveness in our communities. This podcast brought together Andy Green, Matt Appleby and Russell Todd to discus how social capital can be used as a guiding concept that informs repurposed expectations of involvement, engagement and opportunities to build investment in the social realm. We discussed the broad principle of social capital, and considered how examples of positive and inclusive social change can be facilitated at both an institutional and social level, while also being relevant and driven by individuals and people acting in their communities.

Grow Social Capital host a discussion form on Slack, and the sign-up for the week of free online activities is via Eventbee.
