Quantic Dream founder David Cage is the latest developer to suggest Xbox’s two-console approach could cause problems for game makers: we discuss! Xbox boss Phil Spencer has said that xCloud WILL come to iOS, most likely following Amazon’s lead in using a web-based app to avoid the App Store Marvel’s Avengers is struggling to maintain its player base just one month on from release; while Amazon’s Crucible has been cancelled, following a poor release and a brief return to closed beta.  Plus the games we’ve been playing, shout-outs to stories including an update on PS5 backward compatibility, Rambo arrives in Mortal Kombat 11 and Rockstar’s new Scottish studio, before we close the show with a deeper dive on the reasons why many live service games struggle and fail right out of the gate.
