Digital Health Diagnosed: Your Dose of Tech Episode 8 - Suicide Awareness and Living With Grief With Ben West.

In this powerful episode, Ben West and host Dr. Rachael Kent (@drdigitalhealth) both share their close experiences of death and trauma in their family, and how they have learned to live with their grief.

Ben West lost his brother Sam to suicide when he was 17, and Rachael her mother suddenly when she was 22. Exposing the raw vulnerability of Ben and Rachael, this episode dives into these traumatic experiences, raising awareness of suicide, destigmatizing mental illness, and depression, as well as normalizing talking about death and grief in our everyday life.

Ben West has dedicated his life since losing Sam to breaking down stigmas related to mental health and suicide through his incredible activism in this space. Dr. Kent is passionate about using technology to normalize talking about death and grief and has published extensively in this area. She is focused on giving people tools and an understanding of how to do this for their own therapeutic journey as well as to better support their loved ones in grief.

Ben West is an activist and mental health campaigner, committed to making real change around mental health in our society. Author of ”This Book Could Save Your Life”, at 20 years old Ben has already won a Pride of Britain Award, The Diana Award, and the Mental Health Hero Award as part of The Sun Who Cares initiative.
