The native Berliner spent his youth on the island Norderney, where the tourism at all times showed him the difference between the single tastes of music.In this way he also developed quickly his feeling for rariety in an unity with which he received a wide acceptance for his DJ sets aka"bird". Moving house from Norderney to Cologne and having a wealth of experience in DJ ing, he set as his goal to pass on the emotions to more people than before. For this he used his knowlledge and practised his skills in producing by himself under autodidactic sweat.The Hamburg label"Liebe*Detail" recognized Christian Kaltenhofers performance and published his first track "Solaris" wich he later in the year 2005 on Oct.7th helped him getting on the playlist of the Essential Mix Richi Hawtin vs Ricardo Villalobos. After further publications on 303 Lovers, Schiebernet and Fresh Fish Rec of wich "Bagwan" could be heard amongst other things in Vera´s (Robert Johnson) or Dee Smith (Klicks/UK) playlists, work is in progress on his third own album"Lucubrationes".Still in the centre of attention stands the experience of the elctronic room of sound, complex in its composition, but clear in its statement "Zusammen gehört, was zusammen gehört"! Meanwhile his project and nickname "bird" appears with Dr. Rubberfunk and Matt Flores on the a side of Mombasa (Sonorama Rec.).Here he proofs with a remix of Holz, that for him it doesn´t always have to be exclusively about techno! For him there don´t exist any limits in the love for the groove, so that a lot of directions stay open and some surprises are to be expected.
